Mulled Wine Cocktail

As the Festive season is here our cocktail mixologist shares his very Christmassy cocktail recipe for cosy winter house parties. (Not available at VOC Grill, but a suggested recipe for home.) Mulled wine with its full and aromatic flavour is an inevitable item of the festive winter atmosphere; here you can find its more sophisticated version full of cheerful flavours. Watch out, it will be mind-blowingly delicious!
You just need:
1 bottle fruity red wine
1 mug of still water
4 oz Kahlua
5 Cinnamon sticks
3 Star anise pods
1 Orange’s granulated peel
2 tsp. Agave syrup
A little magic:
Mix all the ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, but avoid boiling. We don’t want to lose alcohol. The heavenly liquid needs 10 minutes to cool down before serving in punch cups. Use a stick of cinnamon or a twisted orange peel and cloves as garnish. Enjoy!
